Masterclass & Concert with Ricardo Morales & the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra

My teacher, Ricardo Morales, will be performing with the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, September 21 at GMU. This is a WONDERFUL opportunity for you to hear the preeminent American clarinetist with the orchestra that plays down the street. In addition, tickets for this performance will be just $5 for students and $20 for adults. Compare this with the cost of going to the Kennedy Center, and this is a great deal. Mr. Morales is currently the principal clarinetist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, formerly with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, a position he won at the age of 21. Ricardo will be giving a masterclass the afternoon before the concert, and it is free and open to anyone wishing to attend. Our own studio member Alison O'Bryan will be one of only six students performing for him, along with former studio member Nick Thompson, who is now a sophomore clarinet major studying with the wonderful Rochelle Oedemann at George Mason. A masterclass is a wonderful chance to get to see the master in action, teaching the students who play for him in front of an audience. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for Alison, Nick, and all in attendance.  I would like for as many of my students to attend this class as possible.
